Leominster Out, monument (21), p. 130.
a (21). Cholstrey Court, house and barns, about 2 m. W. of Leominster church. The House was originally of T-shaped plan with the cross-wing at the E. end. At a later date the cross-wing was extended towards the N. and a wing added on the E. side. Inside the building, the modern staircase incorporates some late 17th-century balusters, and there is a mediæval doorlintel re-used.
The Barn (Plate 37), S. of the house, is of four bays and of mediæval crutch-construction, the S. bay being probably a little later than the others. The upright side-walls have framing in squares, with curved braces. A second barn, S.E. of the house, is of the 17th century, and of four bays.

T-shaped on plan, with gable to roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range: C19 2-light casement and, to left, C18 3-light casement, under prentice-board; altered C18 casement under prentice-board, to gable. C17 outshut with brick stack; C19 three-light casement and C20 light; C20 door and overlight and C19 casement. Wing to left with C18 3-light casement over C19 cross-window; C20 restored brick stack. Further wing with 1-, 2-, and 3-light casements; massive rubble end stack with brick chimney. Right returned side: two C19 casements; underbuilt jetty; tier of later C19 mullion and transom windows, with C20 casement to gable; C20 glazed doors, under C19(?) hood on wrought-iron brackets. Further wing to rear with two C20 brick stacks; brick infill; C18 2-light mullion window with leaded lights; various casements. Rear: brick outshut; tripartite window with C19 sashes (2/2: 6/6: 2/2).
