Ownership and licence
You retain ownership. You grant Leominster Heritage a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, back up, reproduce, resize, crop, transcribe, edit for clarity or presentation, make accessible, publish and promote the material in connection with the project.
The licence covers this and future project websites, printed project material, exhibitions, talks and project social media. It does not transfer copyright or permit unrelated commercial exploitation.
What you confirm
- You own the material or have permission.
- You identify source and provenance accurately.
- You do not knowingly submit unlawful, defamatory, misleading, confidential or rights-infringing material.
- You have permission before identifying living people or sharing private information.
- Your submission does not encourage trespass, unsafe access, excavation or disturbance.
Editorial review and publication
Every submission is reviewed before publication. Leominster Heritage remains independently curated and decides whether, when and how material is used. Submission does not guarantee publication. Material may be declined, held privately, edited for clarity and accessibility, or removed after later review.
Contact details, private access arrangements and precise information supplied only to arrange recording are not published.
Credit and image rights
You may choose to be credited by name, request specific wording, ask to be consulted or contribute without your name being published. A credit preference does not change ownership.
Photographs require a recorded creator, provenance, copyright position and permission suitable for reproduction. Where rights remain uncertain, the image remains private while checks are made.
Corrections and conflicting evidence
Corrections are checked against the existing record, cited sources and any supporting evidence. A contribution does not automatically replace an official or published account. Where reliable evidence conflicts, the differing sources, uncertainty and editorial reasoning may be recorded together.
Correction and withdrawal
You may request correction, review or withdrawal of unpublished material through contact. Withdrawal may not require removal of printed material or lawfully distributed copies made earlier.
