Recorded riverside coins and jewellery prompted a suggestion of a former fairground, which remains unproved.

What this record tells us
Buteux’s assessment records coins and jewellery found north-east of Leominster near the river, under HWCM 20146. Metal-detector finds formed part of the evidence considered.
A suggestion that fairs took place here is a possible explanation for the objects, not a demonstrated discovery of a fairground. Rulers, denominations, dates, quantities and individual findspots require the full county record. This record is not classified as a hoard.
